My friend's coworker recommended the South Kaibab Trail after he learned that we were planning a road trip to the Grand Canyon last month. The Trail leads down into the Canyon close to the Colorado River, 4000 feet down. Being novices to this hike, we decided to hike down, but only to Ooh Aah Point, the first stop 790 down from the rim. It was well worth the effort.
