If you happen to be in Piedmont this Sunday, stop by the Piedmont Arts Fund Art Walk. Art Walk was started last year to bring art to the community as all art venues were shuttered due to the pandemic. The concept is to allow artists to install pop-up galleries/stands throughout the neighborhood to exhibit and sell their art. Come out and enjoy the art and good weather if you're in the vicinity.

Hi Sketchers:
We worked on getting lights into our sketch; the street lights above, decorative lights around the buildings, and lights inside the tents. For the next session, we will get that intriguing silhouette hanging out in the doorway and the signs that bring this sketch all together.
Our next session will be the last for "Crogan's Open for Business." For the next project, we will continue with our night series with another point of view for COVID Night Life.

Here is the latest update from Session 5 and 6, plus some additional work I completed this weekend. I added more details and colors to the background, foreground, and underneath the awning.

In this session, we added further color blocking in the background and foreground, added details to the planters and sandwich board signs, and cleaned up the fence pickets.
I might try to work on the sketch during the week so that we can move on to the next sketch by mid April. I've got a few new images of night scenes that will be fun to sketch; COVID Night Life, but from a different perspective.
