More works used to stage

Some of my smaller works are also being used to stage a house for an open house.

My watercolor paintings mixed with the homeowner's B&W photos.

Loaned for Real Estate staging

The architect Debra L. borrowed my painting "Giant Black Nettle" again to help stage another house she is selling. If any of you real estate agents are considering this option, please email me.

Lion Dance No. 1 - completed

This is the first painting in a series on Lion Dancing, inspired by the tough resilience of my elders who have survived and thrived despite the abuse, attacks, and animosity of their neighbors. Happy, and Angry Lion.

Crocker Museum, Sacramento CA, 1/8/22

We visited the Crocker Museum in Sacramento and it was a revelation for me. There was a great mix of old and new art, and many works to sketch. Here are a few highlights:

Sketching sculpture, hot mermaid...

"Siren II" by Antermann, 2016

Painting "Helen Victoria Crocker Russell" by Boldini, 1906

Lion Dance, 1/2022

I've been working on this painting since last September. It's an image of one of my best friends in a classic Lion Dance pose. There's a lot going on here and I will slowly show the progression of this work. Here's the starting baseline.

I'm still working on the title for this work, and I hope it comes to me by the conclusion of the work.
