New SF MOMA

I'm pretty excited about the opening of the new San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SF MOMA). They've added 3 times more gallery space so more of their collection can be on exhibit. I was a member for many years, until they closed in 2013 for the renovations.

But, I am a little perturbed that SF MOMA Membership will not give former members any discounts to renew their membership. I feel that if your previous membership was shortened because of the renovations, they should at least extend your renewed membership by the time you lost.

What do you think?

Some food and beer to fuel new art

It's fun to start off new work. I can feel the potential of the colors and images to come. The pork bun and beer help too.

Fine Art America

A good friend of mine suggested that I post some art to a "print-on-demand" website so that he can place an image on a tee shirt. After checking around, I found that this website was compatible with my current series of works:

So, let's see if any tee-shirts turn up with Oakland night scenes...

Recent sketching

While waiting for our reservation at the Cheesecake Factory, we were sitting in the Macy's Furniture section and I kept occupied by sketching the bamboo plant.

We also attended the Oscar De LaRenta fashion exhibit at the DeYoung Museum. There was an exhibit of mannequins from a Traditional/Punk garden tea party. The punk mannequins sported mohawks.

Check out the De LaRenta show at the DeYoung while it's on exhibit.

Pinball Squared Reception, April 21, 2016

The Pinball Squared reception was very successful, with attendees from all over the Bay Area and even some sales of the works on the spot. Here are some highlights from the show.

Four Elements by Lynn Gustafson

Dude by Pons Maar

Phyllis Diller by d'Arci Bruno

EyeBallz by Fitz

One of my favorites from Phil Hargrave

The exhibit was packed with curious pinball fans.
