Last session, we worked on more pencil line work for windows, bike rack, and street bricks, added washes to define the street lamps, and defined the skyline better.
SIP-n-Sketchers:
First and second sessions of COVID Night Life, One Way. We discussed using thumbnails to work out composition, transferred the preferred composition to paper, and started blocking out the colors of the sketch.
I'm taking a slightly different approach to this sketch by going back to pencil line, usually my last step in previous sketches. I am testing this out for a predominantly watercolor style final sketch.

Hi Sketchers:
We completed the COVID Night Life, OAK, this last session. I added a few more washes to the sky, filled in the details of the sweeper truck, and completed the night lights along the horizon. I applied washes over the clouds so they can fade into the background.
Because I couldn't show my work within our 30 minute sessions, I've prepared this video for your reference.
